One of the best things going for Mexican Riviera is its combination of affodable comfort and laid-back seaside charm. Frauds in Mexico

Mazatlan, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta are very safe. The hospitality of the inhabitants will amaze you however, as in any other city, There are some street vendors that may offer you tours, sport fishing or other activities at reduced prices who make you pay inmediatly, give you a receipt or ticket that has a tour operator logo, name and numbers. The ticket looks very real but are fake most of the time. There is nothing you can do once you buy them.
These people are very friendly and nice, seen "your friend". They may ask you about wich hotel you are staying at, when you are leaving and/or who are you with so they can become invisible if you try to get a hold of them later.
We receive calls from buyers saying they were supposed to be picked up for a tour today but weren'. When we ask where they bought the ticket from we know is was a scam and we realized they were scamed and we can not do anythng about it.

Even if the tickets are legal. Sometimes reduced price tour operators provides recreational activities that may not meet US safety standards nor be covered by any accident insurance.
